Buying & Setting Up Your Domain to Redirect to Your Affiliate Links

Step 2: Because your affiliate link is a long URL, you probably don’t want to remember that long link to put in your advertisements.

There are a couple workarounds but I’ll talk about two of them.

  1. If you have a domain name, create a redirect url.
  2. If you don’t know how to do this, I recommend searching on Youtube or even in the support section where you have your domain hosted.

I have created 2 videos to walk you through the registrar (the entity that sells domains) I use, Namecheap.com.

The first video shows you the options available when choosing a domain name to promote your affiliate link, and the second shows you how to create a redirect link using the new domain.

Step 3: If you already have a domain name or don’t want to get one, the second option is to use a URL shortener like these.
